Introducing Peter and Christine Knight!

Peter and Christine Knight have been looking forward to arriving in Tunis and being part of St Georges Church for a year or so. Until recently they have been serving in five parishes in the Norwich Diocese in the east of England. The past few months have been busy, packing up and making all the arrangements for the move, while also continuing ministry in the parishes and involvement in the life of the diocese.

Peter and Christine met while in training, Peter to be a doctor and Christine to be a nurse, at The London Hospital. They married in 1980 and six years later went to work in Zaire (now DRC) where Peter was involved in various aspects of medical work. After two tours of duty they returned to UK where Peter trained for the ordained ministry in the Church of England. Christine, in addition to being involved in the life of the parishes and running the home, has, in recent years completed an Open University degree. Music has played an important part in her life over the years, and in the last couple of years she has been taking part in a local project exploring spirituality through the arts.

As we settle in we look forward to meeting you all and joining in the life of the fellowship at St George’s.
